It gets better!

Hi there,

If you’re human, the chances you’re getting the sense of being grated on a sandpaper in life are roughly (no pun intended) 50%.

Like on a bad day, you’re looking after a patient with an uncomplicated diagnosis and you tell the family she’ll pull through. But then she develops complications and silently goes away. You find yourself crash landing.

But it gets better. It always does.

Cause then, you look at the other patients. The unconscious, unknown patient from the far North who was found lying on the roadside and brought to the hospital by the police. For 2 days he lies in the hospital, all alone. Today morning you go back to find another gentleman by his bedside. He has his family with him now.

And then, the guy who came in agitated, disoriented and in real bad shape. 2 days later the guy sits up, feeds orally and tells you the name of his kids.

And then, the lady who came in an altered sensorium and raging fever who cracks jokes today when you’re examining her.

And so on, it gets better, doesn’t it?

Keep holding on.
